Learn about our congregation:

We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. -1 John 1:3

Jesus is the most important being to us and to this world. We believe that He is God’s son, sent to live perfectly and take on our shortcomings through death, so that we may have fellowship with God. Jesus is the reason why we have life! Jesus is the reason we do everything we do at FBC MPR, come find out more this Sunday.

Church History

Until First Baptist Church, Belton established this mission, Morgan’s Point Resort was the largest city in the state of Texas without a church. In 1986 First Baptist Church, Belton’s Pastor, Dan Crawford had a vision of a mission church in Morgan’s Point Resort. On March 30, 1989 nine congregants attended the first service, conducted by Reverend Lowell Warren. In April of 1990 the church family of 89 members moved to Lakeview Elementary School and five acres at our current site was purchased. By 1992, God had blessed us with our new facility. We became autonomous, pledging monetary support from our membership rather than sister churches in 2001. Exciting days came in 2006 when we had, after years of dedication and faithfulness, paid the church debts in full. We now enjoy the shepherding leadership of Pastor George Sipp. Please come and be a part of a warm friendly family where the love of Christ is not just taught, but lived.

We would love for you to come and join us!
