February – A Word from the Pastor

Happy February! I hope January has been a great month for you! As many of you know I am recovering from a motorcycle accident. I am recovering well and God willing I hope to be using my arm soon. Emily and I want to say thank you so very much for the support and encouragement you have shown us. To see many from the church waiting in the Emergency Room really warmed our hearts.

In other news, Cameron has made a great addition to our ministry team. I encourage you to get to know him and the other students from UMHB this year as they help lead our worship service.

We are preparing for our Valentine’s Banquet that is benefiting our Mission trip to Israel. I hope you will join us as we fellowship together and enjoy the message Pastor Randy Wallace from First Baptist Church, Killeen has to bring to us. Linda Rockafellow and Randy’s sons will be providing the music.

Please be praying for the ministry of the church this year, as we are preparing to put together our committee’s, prepare for our Visitation Program, Easter Service, and Vacation Bible School. We also will be concentrating on seeking to connect with our community through our Movie Nights, Wed Night Youth, and the Sunday Evening Children’s Service. A few of us are preparing for the Israel Mission Trip. So you see there are many areas we could use your prayer and support. As you know we need your prayer in every area of ministry in the church.

I will be visiting our members throughout the year and I look forward to visiting with each of you. If you know one of our members or guest’s who would like a visit please let me know. Also, if you make a trip to the doctor or hospital please let me know. It would be my honor to be with you in your time of need.

In John 13:34-35 Jesus said “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

It is easy to see this church’s love for one another and I pray that our community will know we are Christ’s disciples by the love we show for one another.

Emily and I want to thank you for your prayer and encouragement in the ministry of this church and we look forward to serving you spiritual needs!

May the Lord bless you and keep you abundantly!
